Description

Intense, nutty and peppery flavour.

Micro-rocket (aka Arugula) is one of the most popular salad greens. It works exceptionally well as a micro-salad green.

Flavour suggestions for rocket salads include walnuts, blue cheeses, pecans, pine nuts, garlic and avocado. Simple dressings like a lemon-vinaigrette will allow the flavour of the rocket to shine through.  Amazing for pizzas and any dish which you would season with pepper.

Contains vitamins A and C, calcium, iron, and phosphorus

    FAQs

What is the optimum growing temperature?

Microgreens can be grown indoors all year round and temperature plays a major role in how quickly microgreens grow.

Generally, between 18–24 degrees celcius is optimal.

Below 12 degrees and the microgreens will struggle to germinate and above 25 degrees they're may get too hot and start "cooking" the seeds.

Do the microgreens re-grow once harvested?

Each seedmat is single-use and will not re-grow once harvested. When you have finished a mat, you'll need to start a new seedmat.

Pod tip: you can throw the used mat into your garden and you'll soon find vegetables will start popping up from the slower growing seeds!

Can I use my own seeds?

Our seedmats come pre-loaded with over 440 microgreen seeds per mat as well as a touch of plant nutrients to help them grow lush and tasty. Because they are already seeded, you can't currently use your own seeds.

However, we are working on a growing medium which will allow you to do this - so watch this space!

    Are your microgreen seeds organic?

Currently, the Rocket and the Broccoli are the only certified organic seed variety. All the other seed varieties are untreated and non-GMO.

    Yummo

I have been purchasing from micro pod for a few years now but have recently had a break due to a location move. However now I’m all set up I have just rejoined the sprouting team I must say totally impressed with the vigorous of growth and the crunchy texture and that lovely bite of the mustard! Keep on keeping on fellow sprinters 🌱

    Not as expected

Onto my second batch and only having 50% luck. Only ever 1 mat out of the two sprouts. Dissapointed

I think it was my fault that the first pod I tried was not a success as I left the top of to soon … shall try again and not be so hasty

    Loving my microgreens

I’ve been buying microgreens as an auto order for at least 6months now. I love having them delivered to my door. The packaging and info they arrive with is so nice. I’ve made changes using their website which is easy to do as well. The microgreens are so easy to grow in the purpose made plastic container with the lid. I love having them on my windowsill for some colour but best of all, they are tasty and add a healthy sprinkle to a number of my daily dishes. Would highly recommend as a satisfying way to grow and eat your own healthy food.
